We priced Aigent by seats for our first eight months, and it was the wrong model. A five-person team running twenty automations was paying the same as a five-person team running two, which meant we were charging people for headcount instead of for the thing they were actually using our product to do.
Why seats break for automation tools
A seat-based price makes sense when the product’s value scales with how many people log in. Automation tools do not work that way. The whole point is that a workflow runs without a person watching it, so the number of people on your team has almost nothing to do with how much value you are getting out of the platform.
Usage-based pricing tied to runs fixes that mismatch directly. A team of three running 40,000 workflow runs a month is clearly getting more value, and using more of our infrastructure, than a team of thirty running four hundred. Billing them the same amount never made sense, for us or for them.
What it looks like now
Every plan includes unlimited seats and unlimited active workflows. You pay for what actually runs, and you can see exactly what that will cost before you commit to a tier, using the calculator on our pricing page.
